Abstract

In this article presents a brief explanation of the basic theory of the analysis Wavelet, initially a comparison is done with Fourier's analysis in order to justify the importance and the necessity of using the Wavelet transform. Then, it presents mathematically the continuous Wavelet transform, the parameters of time and frequency are discretized for obtaining the discrete Wavelet transform and finally the process for the reconstruction of a sign is explained and also the decomposition of a synthetic image in coefficients of approximation and coefficients of detail. That using as function base the Haar Wavelet’s mother for the analysis and the study of the mathematical algorithms necessaries that allows carrying out the fusion of images.
The decomposition of a synthetic image or an image of satellite (data sources), it is studied for the fusion of images is a response to the frequent necessity of having an unique image with high spectral and spatial resolution data from multispectral images and panchromatic images with different spatial resolutions and habitually proceeding from different remote sensors.
