Abstract

In this paper there is a summary of the management program to respond to institutional guidelines (general framework defined by the University to all of its academic programs) and the challenges of the Engineering Education, as well as a proposal of management in Higher Education made by an Engineering Faculty for the 2011-2015 period. Thus, it is aimed to create processes of improvement and follow-up to the processes of teaching, knowledge-generation, and relationship with the environment initiated by the schools that compose the aforementioned faculty. The methodology of academic and administrative intervention designed by the school within its management program is also presented in order to evaluate, improve and consolidate the training of engineers at the Institution; this methodology involves the renovation of curricular structures, reflection upon classroom work, and consolidation of the processes of follow-up and evaluation of learning outcomes.
