Abstract

This research involved the application of technical standards for estimating the quality of finished products free software at the University of Oriente, Monagas, proxy computer. The work was part of the type of technological research and incremental. They turned to the use of various techniques and instruments for data collection and document review, direct observation and unstructured interviews, the data analysis technique used was content analysis. To achieve the stated objectives of the model was done using goal-oriented GQIM, specifically steps 1 through 9, and the reference standard document ISO / IEC 9126. Through research it was concluded that there is a need for a national technical standards with which to evaluate their free software products are developed, and ensuring quality software while providing greater user confidence system.
