Abstract

In the work the recovery of the plate shears of precision model HA3218 is approached, manufactured in Russia, belonging to the Cienfuegos’ City Refinery of Petroleum in Cuba, in particular the worm gearing reducer of the transmission of power of the same one whose worm wheel fractured for overload and in later intents of recovery they have also taken place mishaps. Was carried out a complete defected of the plate shears and of the reducer, the causes of the previous mishaps were clarified and was carried out the redesign of the worm gearing, being evaluated the materials to use and leaving of the employment of the correction of the jagged one, without modifying the distance among centers of the transmission, as way to elevate the resistance of the worm wheel. A fuse was designed between the tire and the nucleus of the wheel to avoid the fracture of the teeth in the event of flight attendants. A new mathematical model was applied to determine the form factor of the teeth of the worm wheel, taking into account the correction of the teeth and the fractured for overload of the transmission.
