Abstract

Supervised pre-professional practices are very important in the professional formation of future engineers, because they are considered the first step in their professional development. In consequence, the University should ensure that supervised pre-professional practices are effective, in order to have graduates with good job performance in enterprises.
The objective of the study is to design and implement a process to supervise pre-professional practices for the Industrial Engineering program of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
At successful completion of the study, it has been achieved the companies' recognition of the potential of the students of the Industrial Engineering program, while students will have more ability to apply theory to real scenarios as well as business development skills that make them more competitive.
