Abstract

this paper we talk about the development of a solar positioning system using Labview-8.6 platform and the PIC18F4550-microcontroller to increase the efficiency of autonomous photovoltaic systems (SFA). To measure the variations in intensity of light using an array of 5 solar cells of the KYOCERA company's combined with 5 photodetectors. The system consists of a mechanism composed of two operators which together with the cells allow the positioning of the structure in the proper orientation. The acquisition board was developed with the PIC18F4550 microcontroller which has advantages in speed of response and the number of lines of instruction. The interface developed in Labview 8.6 with the USB virtual-serial port, control of autonomous and manual positioning. The speed of the system is very effective and fast to changes in the changes of light intensity stimuli.
