Abstract

This paper describes the implementation of a test bank for an injection internal combustion engine, which required the assembly and characterization of the sensors of engine, signal conditioning and a software application dedicated to the controlled excitation of the system and the data processing of motor response. It is used the LabView platform for the data acquisition system (Version 2009 and NI USB 6212 card from National Instrument). The developed system is a necessary tool for the construction of mathematical model of the internal combustion engine. The construction of this model parts from a set of algebraic and differential equations governing the physicochemical phenomenon of combustion process. Some model calculations it requires the estimation of parameters experimentally, for this reason there is the need to record steady-state behavior of the system after it was excited by controlledes acceleration and load disturbances. Additionally, the implemented system will serve as a test platform for the development and evaluation of speed and mixing air/fuel algorithms control
