Abstract

Many buildings in Bogotá has been decreased the comfort, security and healthy conditions of its occupants due to amazing technological advances. The adverse consequences carried for its occupants related with health and low work performance, have motivated this study that pretends to develop observations and surveys to compare with a minimal quality standards. The age of the building, its location in the city and its orientation with respect to the sun and the win direction had been taken in account for the selection of the buildings samples. The main objective of this study is to determine the main variables to adopt for the construction license and present a proposal to the local government to agree on those standards when granting the construction license.
