Abstract:

Is presented in this paper the experience of the authors, by which it has implemented a methodology that directed to ensure the quality of measurements performed in experimental practices of the physics lab courses aimed at basic training for engineering students from the Technological University of Pereira (UTP). To fulfill this objective, the students of the physics lab course were immersed into the context of national and international standards that exists around the issues and metrological vocabulary, and were introduced to the application of a generic methodology for the estimation of the measurement uncertainty of experimental results. This methodology has been designed and implemented with the goal of creating a culture around this topic. The methodology is based on the GUM "Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement" published by ISO used in scientific, industrial and legal areas. Resumen:

Se presenta en este trabajo la experiencia de los autores, mediante la cual se ha implementado una metodología que tiene como objetivo asegurar la calidad de las mediciones que se realizan en las prácticas experimentales de los cursos de laboratorio de física dirigidos a la formación básica de los estudiantes de ingeniería de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (UTP). Para cumplir con este objetivo se ubica a los estudiantes desde el curso de laboratorio de física I, dentro del contexto de las normas nacionales e internacionales que existen alrededor de los temas y vocabulario metrológicos y se les introduce en la aplicación de una metodología genérica para la estimación de la incertidumbre de medición de sus resultados experimentales; esta metodología ha sido diseñada e implementada con el objetivo de crear una cultura alrededor de este tema. La metodología se basa en la GUM “Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement” publicada por la ISO, la cual es utilizada a nivel científico, industrial y legal, en donde el manejo adecuado de los equipos de medida y la expresión adecuada de sus mediciones es de primordial importancia dentro del contexto de la calidad y la competitividad.
