Abstract:

Most companies use information systems to manage the execution of the business processes. Information systems record in a trace the actions that are performed when running instances or cases of business process. Obtaining the process models from the information contained in the trace is possible by means of use of process mining which its offers much other advantages. The process mining techniques gives support to operative work of companies. The mined models supports business process redesign and diagnosis. Diagnosis includes performance analysis, anomaly detections, and identification of common patterns. The process mining is useful on business management because it can to contribute to the business process managements and business audits. For development of research is applied the model of lifecycle L* proposed by Will van der Aalst for analyzing business processes. This research presents the application of several techniques of process mining to Module Store of a Hospital Information System, oriented to show its real utility in the business process management, in function to improve it.
