Abstract:

The continuous development of technology in products and processes, generates a stronger competition and a global reach. The graphic arts industry is constantly evolving, which means that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) lose competitiveness and market rapidly, due to the constant technological progress that it is currently being made in the world. This is imperative that they develop strategies based on technological innovation if they intend to survive. This work initiates a research on the MSME of graphic arts in the Valley of Mexico to determine if there is an elevated level of propensity to technological innovation, what the source of solutions is, and the ways in which its implementation is financed, with the purpose of that induces them to generate survival strategies, helps them to improve their levels of productivity and, therefore, their competitiveness.
