The LACCEI Executive Board and Board of Trustees meeting will be held in the newly constructed engineering building which was built to platinum LEED standards. The board is invited to attend the opening ceremonies for the building on 5 Nov 2010 at 4 pm.

On November 4, the members interested in working on LACCEI initiatives will meet in working groups on the following topics:
1. Bylaws and professional development program for LACCEI Engineering Deans Council
2. OAS initiative for Centers for Engineering for Competitiveness
3. Women in Engineering diversity study and 2010 Interamerican year of women activities
4. International engineering pedagogist certification and "Formando los formadores"
5. LACCEI 5 step model for advancing to International Accreditation
6. Developing the Pares Amigos de LACCEI (Friendly Peers) for International Accreditation
7. Faculty professional development on logistics and ports
8. Student chapter, student leadership development
9. Organization of LACCEI Conference 2011 in Medellin, Colombia and future conferences
10. Elections to the Executive Board of LACCEI
