Accreditation
Since 2006, LACCEI has been part of the action plan of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Engineering for the Americas (EftA) initiative to increase engineering program accreditation in the Americas. LACCEI has sponsored annually the OAS-EftA Accreditation Workshop: Advancing Strategies for Achieving Quality Assurance in Latin America and the Caribbean Engineering Education.
In addition to the workshops outcomes include: formation of a taskforce, a research group, a manual, a five step model, and several papers. The fifth OAS-EftA accreditation workshop will take place in Arequipa Peru on 1 June 2010 under the leadership of Dr. Zenaida Otero Gephardt.Risus pretium auctor consequat Nam Suspendisse quis Nam ac vitae.
