The Inter-American Commission on Women (CIM) of the Organization of American States has approved LACCEI conference activities as part of the 2010 Inter-American Year of Women iniciatives. During the LACCEI 2010 conference, a panel on women and diversity in engineering will be organized, recognition will be made of women leaders in engineering education, a taskforce will be formed, and a strategy, initiative and action plan will be developed.
